Community One Inc. (formally Mount Martha Community Contact Inc.) was established in 1979, and is the largest Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre on the Mornington Peninsula, providing adult learning opportunities, including Certificate and Diploma programs, short courses, Children's Services, Counselling, and Support Services.

We cater for the community of the Mornington Peninsula, specifically assisting parents and families, local unemployed, seniors, childcare to assist parents with personal development activities, low cost counselling and support groups, plus a range of vocational and fee for service programs to meet the needs identified by the local community.

It is an incorporated association managed by a Committee of Management, which is supported by a team of about 53, including 11 staff members, 29 sessional tutors, and 14 enthusiastic volunteers.

In 2008 nearly 1,000 people from throughout the Mornington Peninsula enrolled in our adult courses, there were 447 bookings with our low cost counselling service, 1,530 hours were provided by volunteers and about 150 families used our child care services.

Community One serves the entire Mornington Peninsula, but is based at Mount Martha House, overlooking Port Phillip Bay. It provides unique learning choices in an environment distinct from more formal and larger learning institutions fostering life long skill development.
