CERTIFICATE III IN AGED CARE WORK

With Lyndell Flegg and Toddy Whittle
Students study to gain a national qualification from the Community Services Training Package. Targets those workers involved in interpersonal contact with clients or residents in aged care facilities either privately, in hostels or in supported residential services. A theory and practical training is offered in a local nursing home, totally supervised by our highly skilled and experienced tutors. Communication skills required and a clean police check (application done in class in February). Please bring pen and paper.
Six months full time. Twelve months part time.
Also an evening course (excludes Public Holidays and School Holidays).

This course provides students with skills and knowledge to assist in occasional care, pre-school activities, long day care, children's services or in a nanny position. Includes apply first aid level 2 and Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures. Need to be 15 years or more.
Mon & Tues 12 July - 14 Dec 8:30am - 4:30pm (full time)
Mon & Wed 6:00pm - 9:30pm (on going part time)

DIPLOMA OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES

This course enables students to become a qualified staff member, who develops and runs educational programs for children aged 0-12 years. On completion students are able to be employed as a Team Leader, Room Leader, Co-ordinator, or Director of a child care centre. Certificate III in Children's Services or similar is a pre-requisite.
