INTRODUCTION TO WELDING

An introductory course covering basic electric-arc and gas welding. Material thickness 1mm, 5mm and 10mm. Introduction to MIG welding, brazing of square tubing (RHS) and mild steel. All welding is done in the flat horizontal position. Includes repairing some broken metal objects from home, and/or farm implements. Covers use of hand tools, power tools and applying safe work procedures and conducting routine preventative maintenance, e.g. sharpening drill bits, etc. Equipment list and venue information available from our office.

SLR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

This is a two part coursePart 1 - expand your knowledge and skill in using your camera. The course will cover composition and some basic post-processing enabling you to use programs like Photoshop at an elementary level.
Part 2 - learning what your camera does, how to set your camera to automatic from manual, covering Aperture, Depth of Field, Shutter Priority and Exposure.
Please bring your camera, tripod, the instruction manual, paper & pen.
