| An introductory course covering basic electric-arc and gas welding. Material thickness 1mm, 5mm and 10mm. Introduction to MIG welding, brazing of square tubing (RHS) and mild steel. All welding is done in the flat horizontal position. Includes repairing some broken metal objects from home, and/or farm implements. Covers use of hand tools, power tools and applying safe work procedures and conducting routine preventative maintenance, eg. sharpening drill bits, etc. Equipment list and venue information available from our office. Please bring cotton longsleeve overalls or dustcoat, solid leather upper footwear, and 2 ring folder and pen. |
